One of our family's favorite Thanksgiving stories is A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. We try to watch it every year and if we can't catch it on television, we have the book as a backup.
Thanksgiving is the perfect holiday to slow down and read some stories to your children. The sugar rush of Halloween has passed (we hope) and the crazy "did-I-get-the-perfect-gift-for-everybody" madness of Christmas hasn't started yet.
It's by far the most relaxing holiday in our house (even with all the family staying) and we try to take advantage of it by reading to our kids.
We want you to join us in making this holiday an easy-going time of the
year as well as a time to sit down and read. Reading is such an
integral part of your child's education. So this year, make story-time a
priority in your house.
There are so many great stories
available these days. There are the classics like Charlie Brown and the
Berenstain Bears and newer characters like Pete the Cat (who our kids
love) and of course, Dora the Explorer.
